Hello all, I had a great experience at DUTTON MOTOR CO. I went in the morning and before I knew my truck was ready. Tyler did a great job a very professional person, thank you all who was involved in getting my truck ready in a timely matter.

My vehicle was kept overnight, as was expected, and my service advisor kept me apprised of the status of the repairs. My vehicle was ready the following afternoon and advisor called me ahead of time with an approximate ready time. Excellent communication from the Service Dept.

Bought a 2026 GMC Sierra AT4, was help by Ceasar, he was very helpful with all the questions I had, patient as it took me a while before I made the decision to purchase, made the process very easy as I was able to be the application online and pick up the vehicle the next day, didn’t spend no more than a hour to finalize details and was able to drive off in the new pickup, would definitely buy another vehicle from this dealership in the future

The entire process was excellent

We have an intermittent issue going on with our camera's. The dealership looked at the system, completed an upgrade and could not get the camera to repeat the issue. We are monitoring the issues closely and have already advised them of one more occurrence. The Service writer stated that there is an issue there, we are just trying to get more information and occurrences so it can be addressed.

Elliott Barber was an easy salesman to work with and is a straight shooter. Came in to see the new terrains and the. Arcadia. But they just did not fit my needs. Elliott showed me some trucks and made it possible to fit my budget. Thanks again

Interesting day to say the least. We had purchased the Envista Aviner to replace one of our cars mid December. Then we decided it was time to replace our other car. Thought about it for all about 1 day and decided we love the Envista and all it comes with for us. We checked inventory on line at Dutton, found the one we wanted, confirmed it was available, but…by the time we got there another customer was taking it out for a test drive. We looked at each other and said uh-oh…but not to fear the Dutton team came through and found the same model/color at another SoCal dealer, because, you know the other customer doing the test drive was sold on this little gem. We got to talk to them too and shared our previous experience and love of our first purchase which was fun. So that leads me to the most important point (besides we love our Envistas), the experience of doing business with Dutton Riverside. It’s been there forever, one of the few family owned car dealers around, and you feel that vibe. Every team member is there for you, the facility is top notch (clean and with nice amenities) This visit we even had some time to chat with Mr. Dutton who is a down to earth man and sets the standard for the dealership. Go check them out if your in the market.

I called 2 days prior to my scheduled appointment. Which was on a Wednesday 01-21-26. I dropped my truck off Wednesday morning at 0800. I didn’t receive any information on it till the following Wednesday the 28th. The text said my truck had just been assigned to a technician after 7 days. On Thursday 29th I received another text saying the technician would be getting to it I was next in line. That day I received another text call saying my truck would be finished that day. I am very disappointed with the time it took to repair my vehicle. Fortunately I own a second vehicle otherwise I would have been without transportation. FYI service personnel Rene was excellent in keeping me informed about my vehicle and was extremely apologetic with the entire inconvenience.

Staff was not courteous. I came from work and planning to leave my car so they can diagnose everything and I was planning to get extra service done with my oil change but service advisor who helped me told me van driver was at lunch at 11:20am. I couldn’t get dropped off to work and couldn’t get my 75000 mile service done. Well your company lost more then $1000 on service and now I have to take my SUV to other dealer and waste my time again.

I was at the dealership for over 2 hours for them to check my brakes. Hey told me that the “squeaky noise is normal” And then I saw my front brake pads % reading said 57% for my front brakes. I JUST got my brakes done a month ago at the GMC dealership. Something is not adding up. The Service advisor told me I should pay attention to that reading as they aren’t accurate. I’m NOT HAPPY.

Dropped off truck 7:50am Thursday for diagnosis, no communication all day. Called Friday 10am, no call back. Called back 2:30 no call back till 4pm to tell me they just started and would not know till Monday. Received text on Monday with total bills for service. No call just a text. Worst dealership service experience I've had. I brought my GMC Sierra Elevation (2.7L, approximately 56,000 miles) in because it was sputtering and running poorly. After researching the issue, I found that this engine has known problems related to carbon buildup and fuel system concerns. I called the dealership, explained the symptoms, and was told to bring it in. Because the truck was undrivable, I paid nearly $300 to have it towed about 60 miles to the dealership. After that, communication became a major problem. It took over a week just to receive an initial diagnosis, and throughout the entire process nobody offered a rental vehicle, discussed possible warranty coverage in detail, or provided meaningful updates unless I repeatedly followed up myself. I purchased extended coverage on the vehicle and specifically asked whether the repair might be covered. Instead of helping me explore my options, I was immediately told it likely would not be covered. The dealership recommended cleaning the fuel system first before pursuing more extensive engine work that they estimated could cost thousands of dollars. The entire repair process took roughly three weeks. In the end, I paid over $3,000 for the fuel tank to be removed and cleaned. When I picked up the truck, it was returned with virtually no fuel in it. What frustrated me most was how the dealership handled communication and authorization. During the repair process, I asked my service advisor, Julio, whether the dealership could provide a complimentary oil change due to the lengthy delays. He told me he would look into it. Later, when I followed up by text message, he responded that the oil change had been completed. Since our only discussion was about a complimentary oil change, I reasonably assumed it had been approved. When I arrived to pick up my truck, I discovered I was being charged for the oil change. I never authorized a paid oil change. I showed the text messages to management, but instead of acknowledging the misunderstanding, they were dismissive and argumentative. Julio was not present, and the manager refused to consider the documented conversation. The dealership also replaced a gas cap after damaging it during service. Fortunately, I was not charged for that repair, but it raises additional concerns about performing work that was never discussed with me beforehand. My biggest issue is not just the repair bill. It's the lack of communication, the delays, the failure to clearly explain warranty options, the unauthorized charges, and the unwillingness of management to take responsibility when presented with evidence of a mistake. Based on this experience, I have no plans to return for future service, and I certainly will not be purchasing another vehicle from this dealership unless significant efforts are made to address these concerns.

My truck had engine problems on 5/27/2026 took to dealer and found out Various codes came on. Service advisor informed that tech recommended two items replaced: engine wire harness and crank shaft position sensor. Only position sensor was performed due to GM Extended Warranty not approving all services. I picked up on June 9 and not 3 miles into drive fault came back with Engine light and loss of power. It is now June 22, 2026 and still no word on how soon we can get it back. This is unacceptable.

The vehicle was serviced in a timely manner with no surprise costs . I was also provided the buy 3 tires get one for $1, which saved a substantial amount of money.

I never received a digital or physical copy of my inspection report, even after asking my service advisor for one. He stated it would be emailed to me but never was. I inquired about a windshield replacement but was not given a quote for parts or labor. Working in an automotive service department myself, I had hoped for a better experience with Dutton as my experience on the sales side was excellent.

My experience with Ricky Ho started out fine but I was disappointed with the lack of communication about the quote I received via text message. It was not until I called Ricky when he informed me my services could be under warranty. My experience picking up the vehicle was the worst due to no one wanting to help me get my vehicle once I paid. The tow truck driver said this is the the most disorganized dealerships he has ever experienced and he told me they put the truck in the back of the lot even though the dealer new I already paid to pick it up and a tow truck was on its way

The policy of not giving a loaner car till 3-4 AFTER the full diagnosis even though it was screened to see what the issue is, is ridiculous and very inconvienent. Especially when the car has an issue after just 3,000 miles. .

The worst experience ever I took my truck for repairs in this. They called me to pick it up until they order the parts. My truck it’s 2025 Denali unlimited. I pay over $100,000 in life like crap. This is what they are. I ask him to fix it. They take forever next step I will get an attorney horrible horrible company.

It was super easy and straight forward with the work that they were going to perform. They were ready for me when I arrived, and my service was completed on time. A great experience.

I took my truck for the same issue to a different GMC dealer (Mark Christopher)they couldn't find the issue in my truck for weeks, Im glad Dutton GMC was able to find the Issue and get it repaired in a few days. I'll definite use Dutton GMC for my truck again.
